Are you ever fully happy with what’s in your bag?

Of late ive been hitting the ball very well and close to some low scores, particularly my iron play.

So last night was out with just the 9 iron and 6 iron from my old set of MP62 irons, and found myself thinking of sticking them back in the bag instead of my GI irons.!!!!!!!!!!!!

So do you chop and change and always looking for the magic club that’s going to solve any problems with parts of your game or do you steadfastly stick with what works?

never happy as something is always misbehaving :)

I got rid of all spares though to stop me tinkering so currently sticking with what I have. (tempted by a new driver though ;) )

Confidence and belief changes everything. When you have that the tools of the trade don't matter too much.

are you serious? with the amount of nice old and new clubs available who could be!

at the minute I would love the swap my sm4s for sm5s.
new driver just because.
3/4 wood, again just because.
putter. im always changing it anyway.
bidding on a new 22deg hybrid as it is.

only things I wouldn't change atm is the irons and 19deg hybrid. (even that's a lie)

At the moment Im really happy with Driver, 5 wood, Baby Hybrid, 58* wedge and maybe my putter....

All other positions are up for debate and possible change...

Never happy with the bag, which is daft, as like one of the earlier posts, it's confidence that does the trick, not new shineys. That said, who doesn't love new shineys!!!!

New driver and 5 wood en route...

your swing is obviously in a place right now that you could probably hit anything well, so your eye and thoughts turn back to the old girlfriend that brought you so much joy then fell out with you. but now your a better swinger:smirk: you feel you could do them justice again.

I have my old Titleist tour blades and mizuno semi cavity irons and when I'm swinging well they come out to play.

I'm 100% happy with my bag and 85% with my swing

the club i miss the most is my mp62 nine iron, it was my bump and run and chipping club. main diff is that you could play a whole rang of shots with the old irons, high, low, spin no spin. The JPX go high and straight and chipping is almost impos i find, the ball just goes rocketing off the face no matter how softly you hit it!

Never say Never but at the moment I'm happy to the point that I look on eBay/golfbidder/shops and see nothing that I think I need...

That's not to say there won't be something next week but.......

so replace the JPX 9 iron with mp62 or if you have room add it into the bag alongside

Pretty happy now with what's in the bag I can't see me changing anything unless I go the custom fitting route someday. Instead of what's in the bag it's time to focus on what I'm doing with them and get more consistent with what I have. I don't feel far away it's just putting it all together regularly.

Always seems to be something that's not behaving, I usually threaten the offender with being replaced and if that doesn't work the axe falls!

Currently most under threat is the 3 wood, bought for vanity's sake, I love the hybrid and driver, so replaced the Nike Covert which I was striping miles, but just can't get on with the Titleist. Might try the Nike at the range again this week to really show that pesky 3 wood I am serious with the threat!
