ARE YOU AS FED UP AS I AM WITH SOME PEOPLE POSTING A LOT OF NONSENSE (COMPLETE SH1TE) EITHER BECAUSE THEY WANT THEIR NUMBER UP OR THEY HAVE TO HAVE AN OPINION ON EVERYTHING.



My tip would be 'If you have eff all to say, say eff all !!!'

Am just fed up reading a lot of P15H.

Hell yes im sick of pointless posts to get numbers up! I know some people might think this is one right now but I want to show my support.

thats why its a good idea to split the forum up into sections.

Keep the guff in the everything else section and the golf topics in the golf only section.
 
A good point well made Mr Mad ,Im off to the Costa Del Sol on Sunday for a week in hopefully dry and gale free weather to get away from such threads.
I will be playing at La Quinta ,Los Arqueros and Los Naranjos ..booked them over t'internet any one know if they are ok.
 
los narajos and la quinta nice courses and los arquaros a seve designed course which imo is the best value for money course in the costa del golf.If you have a spare day play Monte Mayor....would love to read your posts on it on your return,superb track and how on earth they ever bulit a course up there I will never know,a real gem,sure it is around £50 including a buggy and worth every penny.
 
los narajos, I watched a few vids on video jug with a guy call rikard strongert or somethin like that, am sure thats the club he is at and in all the videos the place looks amazing.
 
I am sick of s***e threads asking us if we are sick about s***e threads.

I am also sick of PEOPLE USING CAPITALS FOR EMPHASIS and the genral poor quailty of hte speeling on this forum.

Just don't get me started on erroneous apostrophe use (or lack thereof)....

I'm a bit confused as to what would qualify for this level of vitriol M. Could you provide a link to what you consider to be a typical offender?

I'm also struggling to see what one has to gain from 'bumping up their numbers'? I couldn't tell you off the top of my head how many posts ive made and would be happy for such a statistic to be unavailable. I write if I have something to say and pass on if I don't.

The other thing is that this is an open forum so difficult to moderate against what is after all a subjective assesment of such.

I think if you feel such passion about it, it's only fair to be more specific.

Does this post qualify as 'sh1te' for example?

This post may qualify if anybody thinks it is p15h but I can assure you it wasn't placed to bump up my numbers (which are under your user name on the left of the screen)

I understand this is a free forum but lets not forget it is a golf forum. I like to read and discuss golf but I almost jacked the lot in when I read the tea or coffee thread. And please, this is not singled at any one person that was just an example.

I appreciate I can ignore threads that don't interest me but sometimes the thread is interesting but their are pointless posts which make no contrubution what so ever to the topic being discussed.

As for being vitriolic, it was meant tongue in cheek.

I was aware this thread would touch a raw nerve but I had to get it off my chest.
 
threads of a non golfing capacity ie CARS, FOOTBALL or WHO LIKES DRINKING WHAT THE BEST (yes i am emphisising, may be spelt wrong but don't give a S@@t)should be kept for differenr forums
 
Tend to agree that it's the one main reason the forum should be split into Golf, Non-Golf and Sales. Oh ...and perhaps a hot refreshments section, too !!!

I only come on to discuss golf related issues, some of which are highly entertaining.

Now that the pro season is getting better again the standards of most threads seem to be improving.. although I did come back from 4 days skiing to find 72 new threads and over 1000 new posts. Can't keep up with that.
 
I agree about the crappy threads. It shows a clear need for the forum to be divided to put these things into general clubhouse chat.

Good luck Heathcliffe. Take plenty of balls to Los Aqueros, and my advice is don't go to Monte Mayor. They would have to pay me to play there again, free buggy or not.
Go to Santa Maria instead.

I'm off the Gran Canaria for two weeks on the 11th. Feb. Playing Las Palomas and Meloneras. Both new to me so I hope they are OK.
 
As a newbie here (and to golf) I have found this place quite unusual but a great place to lurk and learn. I am a photgrapher and frequent many forums and am moderator on one of those. On those forums, humour and tangential issues tend to come up within a thread rather than starting one specifically off-topic. As said, re-structuring should sort the wheat from the chaff
 
I think that you probably know my views - I sometimes have a little dificulty holding myself in check. It's easy to say don't open a thread if you are not interested in the subject but I have been following some very interesting ones recently only to find after a while that they sometimes, for whatever reason, go off topic. This is when the problems start.
 
I am trying to be philosophical about it and it may be that we are all on edge and suffering from the DT's. I haven't played since the 18th and my nerves are shot to bits. I am fidgety, restless and the wife says I am irratable but I .. I ....



I JUST WANT A GAME OF GOLF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I don't ask for much in life and even 9 holes would see me alright but .....


I would even settle for the range.
