No they're not booing him, it's just the yanks being overly excited when he does something good and shouting Luke, Luke, Luke quickly, same as they did with Boo Weekly a while back.

any event that takes place in the US annoys when you get some loud mouthed idiot shouting something that seems better suited for a footie game. I'm all for ecouragement, but for every par 3 to have someone shout 'Get in the Hole', so loud that they seem to competeing with a steam train for noise level, even when it is apparent it is going nowhere near the hole, is bloody enoying.

Sorry but if I was at an event and heard anyone near me shouting crap like in the hole, I would tell them to shut the hole making the trite.

Alas, it's not confined to par 3s. I've heard the shout 'get in the hole' used when the player has driven off a par 5.
There's one for timgolfy - the 580 yard drive!!!
