Are head covers on my irons a bit poofy?

The first guy I ever played said to me "if you look after the course and your equipment, it will look after you".

I clean my clubs all the time and keep iron covers on my shiny forged Mizunos. I think they look ugly and cover up my beauties, they look sunning in the bag without the covers.

Should I man up and let them free. How bad does bag chatter clash them up?

I kept my TM TP's in iron covers and they still look really good. The same with the R11's I have now. I do think they will get marked in the bag without them especially if they are forged. I guess its up to you.

Covers are gay.

What's the point in having nice clubs if they are always covered up?

I clean my clubs after every use as I believe you should look after your equipment but I wouldn't put covers on them.

I have head covers on all of mine and clean them after every round as well. It makes the resale value better when I change them every 3 months lol

It will certainly add to the resale value but it would only make me a maximum of £100 extra when I come to sell them. And I think that showing off my gorgeous irons over 2 years is well worth the £100.

Also use iron covers but ive been told its bad for your irons? Is there any truth to this at all?

Yes, if you put wet forged irons in head covers and don't dry and air them when you get home they will rust. Does not matter with cast.

Just remember to dry them.

Don't let imurg hear you calling him a poof
He might sit on you, then you'll be sorry

Fragger :-)

Told you your eyes need testing......

Haven't used iron covers since I changed the Mizzys for Callys in August!! Blind *****!!!!

I used covers on my MP58's from day 1. 600 days later (and about 150 rounds) they looked about a week old.
Ask Aztecs, Fragger or CVG - they were pristine. As a result I got a lot more for them when I sold them.
Keep the clubs dry and there's no issue with keeping covers on them.
Al - you saw the condition of mine.......They wouldn't have been like that without covers.

no way would i be bothered with the hassel of covers for my irons. i only have one cover that goes on my 5 wood. its a plain furry wee red number and i use it to keep the other wood/hybrid/driver from making a racket!
