Apple on the BBC

Watched it and not overly surprised. I doubt it's just Apple that use factories like this though. I bet they are all at it.

Doubtless they all are, the programe shouldn't have singled out Apple, but should have ended with a a piece direct to camera about buying new phones every time a new one comes out and what this actually means.

This is what China is like. It's not unique to Apple and I have to say, I think it's a little unfair to lay the blame solely on them. Manufacturers like Pegatron will do anything they can to increase their margins regardless of who their customers are.

It's worth thinking about how things are made in this day and age. If you want to take a hard moral stance there's actually very little you can actually buy that is ethically made.

I havnt seen the program, but I assume by the title that its about apples failings to address the use of child labour in the making of its products.

They have been aware of this for many years, so it quite right that they are singled out. perhaps the sheep who go out and buy the latest model every time it's released may think twice next time.
