AP1's

I went to the range yesterday and tried a range of irons as Im thinking of splashing out. Tried everything from R9's to Cleveland CG7. I came to the conslusion that the G15's and Titleist AP1's were my favs. Now Im a bit of a Ping fan anyway but I had never really considered the AP1's.

Im leaning slightly towards the titleists and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with these and also with titleist's customer services.

(I can get these at an absolute steal by the way, almost close to cost )

I have just got a set of AP1s. Custom fitted by club pro and I love them. Not a ssexy looking as the AP2 but do the job. I have the dynamic gold R300 shaft and the clubs are spot on.

I've got them with Project X 5.5 shafts. Fitted by my pro and love them. Great irons and much better looking than the Pings.

I tried out the pings also but they look so big and clumpy. And Im a big ping fan.

AP2's here, if the AP1s play anything like the AP2's you'll love them.

Had my AP1s for just over a year now & love them.

Went to American Golf , got them to book me a fitting session at the Titleist fitting centre - up near Huntingdon. Went with the idea of AP2s but after a good session at the centre, preferred the 1s. Put in the order and went to pick them up, nicely done out in my spec, from AG about a week later. No complaints at all

I like the AP1 and 2 but they feel a little heavy to me. I'm still getting the lure of the I15's washing over me and I know I must resist. Its gone as far as checking out Ping demo days. Maybe I'm already infected with the Ping virus
