I am going to buy a 4 iron as i do not like my hybrid i have a ap2 set of irons but not sure if i should get an ap1 4 iron zach johnston uses an ap1 4 iron so it must be a good idea, any one got any views at all as i really do not know what to do? ap1 or ap2

What's wrong with the trackman ?

Why not just stick with your current model and get your pro to order one

how do you hit your 5 iron, would like a bit more forgiveness? If you hit it fine match your set, if not 100% then get the slightly more forgiving 4 iron, not sure you'll see that huge a gap between them

It's a driving iron which isn't far away from a hybrid

The good news is that someone will be able to get a hybrid on the cheap soon

Personal preference would be to use the one that matches the rest of the set. I always feel uneasy when I don't have a matching club. No real rhyme or reason but just the way I am. I'd go to a range and try both

I honestly think you need to have some lessons and stick with the clubs you have and get used to them.

I dont know you very well but almost every thread ive seen of yours involves you either getting new gear or selling gear you have only just bought.

Give it a few months at least.

Strange, ave just swopped me AP1 710 4-pw for AP1 714 5-pw from golf support. I just could not get on with my 4 iron. So much so that I ended up using my 710 fairway wood off the fairway or hybrid in the first cut. This has for me created a happy problem do I get another wedge or another wood. I'm not the longest of hitters so I think I will leave it til late spring before I make my choice once I have had a dozen games in better weather when the ball is flying different and the course is a bit firmer.

what I don't want to do is rush into getting a club which I think may benefit me but I don't end up using, or could of ended up something else. If you do end up looking for a AP1714 check out golf support. They are very good.
