Hi all,

Is anyone using the Bridgestone B330 RXS? If so I am interested in how you are getting on with it?

Any and all info interesting.

Yes, I've used them for about a year as I bought several boxes. I really like them and they are pretty durable as well as being cheaper than other top balls

Currently using the B330RX and think its a quality ball for the price, not tried the RXS though but can't see any reason to buy a more expensive ball than the Bridgestone as its such good quality at less of a cost

Used 1 for 3 holes and a tee shot.

Wanted to like it but was surprised that I didn't get any spin from wedge shots. Fan of most B330s

Not a great test I admit. It's probably still in the lake by Bearwood 13th! About 15 yards from dry land (off the Blacks, but still an awful tee shot!)

Ye I read a review that said its only down side was maybe not enough spin round the green. Kinda negates the point of it I think. If its a tour quality ball for amateurs then it needs to act like that round the green.

I use that and the 'S', stays whiter and less scuff marks than a Prov1 (havent tried 2013 Prov1 yet though). Plenty of spin with it, too much sometimes but on firm greens its good to see 7-PW take a bounce then stop

What's the main difference between these and the b330 rx?!?

The RXS is supposed to spin more and the RX is supposed to be more distance orientated. Although I am sure that the manufacturers will tell you they both spin and have great distance. And I will challenge anyone in a blind test to notice the difference between them.

I use the RX when I can get them on the cheap. And strangely enough, like a lot of other balls when I hit them well they go a good distance and when I don't they don't go as far.

I find it spins more than most (inc ProV1x, Lethal, Z-Stars and NIke's latest Tour Ball (2012xIS?) but not quite as much as the ProV1 or the B330S ie more than enough!

Strangely, when I was in a ball buying phase a couple of years ago, I could never find them much cheaper than the other premium balls at all - just my luck.

When found now they definitely go in the 'use' bin - great ball.

Had a few months using the RXS and RX. Had my worst ball striking months during that period so not the best time to be changing ball.

for me the B330 RX was better off the tee, flew straighter more often. Its downside was when you hit one to the middle of the green it would almost always rollout to the back. (n.B this was before all the nice weather) For me the RX was similar to the AD333

B330RXS - bit more movement off the tee, didnt fly as straight as the B330RX or a z star but this ball will hold the green from a well struck iron. Havent hit many prov1 but to me the B330RXS is very similar. On of my playing partners only plays Prov1 and gave me a box of B330rxs as he was getting less spin from them.

I have since went back to the Z-stars, as they tend to stay down the middle off the tee and will stop from a well struck iron.

Two seasons in now using these balls, I think they are great. Good distance and spin is fine, great to putt too. I've used the RX and the S too, but always seem to gravitate back to the RXS. Great balll at a good price..

And are we talking about £35 a dozen?

this is why I have never considered them anything other than a premium ball in play, or pricing!

MRRP was £50 and they occassionally (then) appeared around £35 (the RX used to be on offer for less). As a value proposition I think they are worth that relative to most other pricing, but value alone over the last few years has been dominated by the Srixon Z-Star IMO
