I recently had a feel of one in a Pro Shop in the States, and it felt incredibly Balanced in the hands, but didnt get chance to have a bash on the green.

It seems to get amazing reviews online, and obviously Adam Scott used one to win the Masters last year, so just wondered if any members had turned to one ?

I have tried a Scotty before, but felt the face was quite 'hard' in comparison to the Odyssey/insert I usually use,
but this Alu head is apparently much softer feeling ?

Whether I'll part with £200+ notes is another thing....... but i'm itching to try one........

I had one, but the counter balance version rather than the normal one. May well try and pick up the normal one at some point but I sold it on because of the counter balance not any other reason.

I dont actually mind the look of the head (but then I already use a Kombi so its just a couple of MM ears added on to what Im used to). Very high MOI head, very easy to return square to the ball, especially from short to mid range. Face was very soft, probably as soft as Ive had on a Scotty (but then I like a milled face and never ever got on with Odyssey inserts). Easy to putt with if the feel suits you, actually the more I type the more I think I need to get myself a non counterbalanced one hehe

Biggest thing to change my game in the last 12 months. Most noticeable difference is from 8-10 feet. I am making a lot more putts from this distance. Putters are a very individual thing and what suits one, may not suit another. HID got me mine as a present, but I know guys who sell on eBay and build up their paypal account and then just use that...

Fundy, how did you find the counter balance? Just wondered why you swapped away from it? I have tried a few and it feels good in the shop but real world experience is always good to hear. Cheers

I struggled with it Doug tbh hence the putter went. I expect if I put in the hours on the practise green I would have got used to it but actually found it counter productive based on my current stroke (a bit as I did when I tried the fatso grips). I do have a little bit of wristiness in my stroke, especially from distance, and this was basically fighting with the weighting of the putter leaving me struggling for distance control and lacking confidence in the stroke. The flip coin is from 10 ft and in it was pretty deadly as it was all but impossible to not return the putter back to the ball square but ultimately it didnt work for me from all distances.

Having spoke to a few people since Im not convinced that having the weight in a longer shaft is ideal (i had the 38") and may try it again but with a normal length putter (35") with the weight spread the length of the putter grip (and obv the heavier head). This makes more sense and I think should be more stable but obviously will be a trial and error

Thanks for the feedback, sorry I didn't see that before I posted the second question! Sorry if that appeared rude!

Yeah I must have missed that one! Still if the buyer doesn't get on with it maybe it will re-appear and do the forum rounds! Ha ha

Looking for a big putter now for the better MOI as I seem to be taking it on all sorts of funky paths on the short ones and want something stable I can get going back and through hence my keen interest on the Ketsch. Not sure I like the look of this as per the OP though
