As per the title really, looking into what to use when I run out of burner TP's.. Toss up between these and the penta tp3, but thought would ask you guys and girls!

Anyone with a spare sleeve, happy to do swapsies for penta tp classics, or penta tp5's which I have kicking about...

I tried 3 wood 15 degree ,reg shaft against my ping k15 16 degree at ag trafford at the weekend, and i will be getting one,a good 15 -20 yards further for me,and as i find the 3 wood alot easier i think that i will ditch the driver altogether to be honest:eek:

tried out one last tuesday. hit it like a dream but im hitting my current weapon just as good if not better. there for not parting with any cash.

Class.

Made me laugh.

I think that in the long term you will be disappointed though. Golf balls come in two types, hard, or soft. That's it. The rbz balls won't be any different.

I found one the other week, unfort, it got shanked into the moray firth:)

Rocketballz are really quite like the Burner TP. Don't get Penta TP3, they're rubbish.
Old Penta TP's were the business.
I wouldn't say that the RBZ ball is worth the extra cash over the Burner TP LDP though. I get 2 dozen LDP's for £30.

Rooter, have you tried Bridgestone e6? Very good ball and not unlike the Burner TP. Strange looking thing with the dimple in dimple but they don't half fly.

2 of my playing mates have started using the Bridgestone balls. They Say there great.

I got a box from HID at Christmas (claims they didn't have Penta TP's ) and I was a bit sceptical to begin with... Right up until I whapped one off the first tee and almost hit the green 290yds away (I normally only hit 260-270 max) so seen a huge difference. I'm still a massive fan of the Burner TP and "classic" Penta TP and continue to use them but the e6 won't go wrong being in the bag.

Cheers Greg, I am a fan of the burner tp too, but they are end of life now and there is only so much stock left, so I thought next time I buy, may as well go with a new ball....

There is the new Burner TP LDP. Got a couple of boxes of these a few weeks ago just to make sure I always have some and they are just as good as the old model IMO.

I got a box free with my driver & 3 wood. To be fair, I'm not good enough to notice the difference between decent balls, they had similar performance to the Nike PD I usually use - when I hit them straight, I definitely hit them a good distance. They also stopped pretty quickly on the green from my lob wedge :)
