I'm changing my car to a lease vehicle so need to sell mine on. Anyone got any experience of selling a car on fleabay? Not sure the best way to go about it......fixed price, auction with a reserve or start at 99p?

It's a 65 reg with only 12k on the clock and in mint condition, would one of the other selling methods be better do you think?

I'd buy a banger off eBay, nothing more. Think about it, would you pay decent money for a car off there when there no guarantees, warranties etc.

If you don't want the hassle then how about something like we buy any cars?

Quote it as an ideal hairdressers car might help ?

It's still under manufacturers warranty and I want sensible money for it not a derisory offer from WBAC. They offered me £11,500 but similar cars on ebay appear to be selling for around £14-15k

Now who else do I know on the forum that also drives a hairdressers car? :p

I would put it on Autotrader at a fixed price, but with a bit of a margin for negotiation. My daughter sold her car that way, and the buyer came from Wales, so knew he was keen and didn't budge much on the price.;)

I didn't think Lovely Louise was on the forum.

Auto trader or gumtree. Just put up a price a bit higher than what you want and let some offers come in.

There may even be other car selling websites or Facebook groups. Best thing is to advertise it in many places.

I have sold via eBay loads, when the buyer takes the car, just tell them you are voiding the transaction on eBay, maybe offer them half of the fee back.

Auto trader for me, has got a better response for higher priced cars though. I have sold and bought cars on eBay for £500 to £20k though...
