Anyone scousers on here looking a lodger during the Open?

I know this is a long shot, but, as Liverpudlian and hero of mine John Lennon said theres "nothing to get hung about" in asking, is there is anyone on here who could put up a handsome, intelligent and humble 22 year old from just outside Belfast (not a war-torn part of the country) during the Open. With travel, tickets and food and drink costs, there is no way I can afford to pay £53 a night for a room in a Travel Lodge, if no one takes me up in this in this very unattractive offer, I think I will just bring a tent and sleep on the beach like a tramp.

Travel lodge is 19.00 per night if booked 6 or 8 weeks in advance

When I stayed in Edinburgh when the festival and Rugby Union world cup was on it was £400 for a night in a Travelodge.

When an big event is on supply and demand means they can charge more.

There is a hotel smack bang in the middle of town called formule 1. £25 a night (room fits 3) only snag there are shared showers up the hall way. A place to get your head down. Not 1 for the ladies tho

Good luck with the search, just looked on late rooms and the prices are pushed up considerably, we booked a premier inn at Warrington for £29 so I reckon we have a 45 min drive in the morning.

I'm only going on the Friday so I'll have a very early start... 2 hour journey for me so will probably leave at 5AM.
