Just a quickie gents. Has anyone played these 2 courses? Which one of the 2 would you play if you had the choice? Planning on playing there next saturday with my friends and don't know which one to play.

Thanks in advance.

Play both each year and like them both so no help here lol! If I really had to choose it would be the kings I think. Just suits my game a bit more as it's a bit more open, a bit of a US type layout. Still have a lot of love for the Earls, a bit tighter more tree lined. Whichever you decide to play you'll have a great day out.

The earls is the best, without doubt. The kings is also good but bland in comparison. Its a long walk so would recommend a buggy.

It's 2 miles from my house, and wouldn't rush to play either, due to my lack of patience.I don't like 5 hour rounds. Earls is the tougher course of the two. Kings is very open and a few water holes. Earls is a bit tighter, especially front 9.

played one of them and was not impressed - can't remember which one, but it had a par 3 over water near the leisure centre? Just kept thinking that it could have been so much better with a better hole design even on the same layout

Played them both and I'd say The Earls is best. I found it not spectacular but more than half decent and very good value as we got it for less than 20 notes.

180 yard carry over the water if memory is right.

Or mostly into the water in my case ;)

One thing about the set up there I liked is that they made you feel very welcome as a visitor. It was a very American welcome so to speak, they made you feel like a valued customer. Doesn't make the course any better, but we're use it for our work golf days as they do look after you.

But they don't give a flying fig for the members. Know many people who left after one year.

You and me both!
