I'm playing at Forest of Dean golf club tommorow with my brother, my dad and his mate. Anyone else played there? If so, is it any good?

It's been a few years since I last played it but it's a decent enough parkland course could be a bit damp in places but so everywhere at the moment!

Ryder Cup Winner
Played it a few times, it was called the 'Bells' golf club until recently. It is quite a nice parkland course and has a reasonable Hotel.
There is another club near it called 'Forest Hills, this is a similar course and was recently owned by the same person. Also quite a nice course to play.

It was a cheapy groupon deal, £10 per person, so as long it's a decent course there won't be many complaints really :cheers:

This confused me one day as I turned up at Forest Hills for a match to find no team and the thought opponents playing another club a mad dash across coleford and much merriment from team mates on arrival!

Worth a play if you live nearby, a nice, interesting course with good greens. Quite short, but still a good challenge with the number of blind shots you had to play
