Hey, just wondering how many of you partake in any form of physio or legit massage, and if it help your aches/pains(legit being subjective). I am mainly concerned with flexibility in my back. Looking at those massage seats or any alternative. Ive done reflexology in the past which i found really works well for me.

I use FASIC-Edinburgh Universities physotherapy dept for my lower back and calf muscles, they're excellent...SRU,Team GB and amatuer football/rugby clubs use them too.Not a bargain at £40 for 40 minutes, but they set you up with a stretching routine and programme to get you where you want to be...I want to run the Loch Ness marathon next year.

Recently,well 6 months ago I had a back spasm.
After a one off visit to the chiropractor I now do back stretches daily.
I just went on to the internet and found some back excersises,no problems since.
Also just keeping active and in good health helps.

Sounds good and i live in Edinburgh. Do they do golf specific stretches, and do they do deep tissue massage?

I had a football injury that royally mucked up my back when I was younger. Every time I walked out of the chiropractor I felt like a new man!

I am surprised that more on here do not get their back looked at. We turn around the spine in this game. Hard enough to do without bits of your back where they shouldn't be!

Seem to spend half my life at the physios lol. Was recently advised to get a foam roller and taught a number of exercises, mainly focused on recent back problems but also use it on my calves a fair bit. Worth its weight in gold, especially for regular stretching and also for "self massage" after an event which hopefully will prevent future injuries a bit more

Last massage I had was on a cruise, little Thai girl, beautiful, lasted about 40min, dare not stand up for 20 min after,:o
