Abit daft as we can't fit enough golf time let alone any other hobbies!! But granters post reminded me of some gear I have in the loft. As a youth I would go fishing with my grandad, he bought me a split cane fly rod and pike rod. After a little research I found that it was made in Japan and is prob bamboo rather than the cane we used to use. The pike rod has a lovely big wooden handle and is about 5' long. The fly rod is interchangeable so can be from 6' to about 10' in length.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas on what they could be worth!

I've been fishing longer than i've been golfing! I'm afraid i don't think it'll be worth much. The real high value ones are over 100 years old, unless it's exceptionally rare. Split cane rods are VERY common. Might be worth a google search. I'm finding Payne Stewart autographs going for 150quid on their own which has got me twitching slightly!

You'd be better checking on anglersnet.co.uk as i know a few of the lads on there that know their stuff concerning old tackle. Worth posting a few pics as well to help with identification.

Done a bit of research on the net and I don't think it'll be worth much. I don't thinks it's that old but a lovely bit of kit, I loved the poke rod as a kid.

Must admit when I saw the Payne Stewart autograph I instantly thought that will worth a few quid!
