Need a new oil boiler to be fitted and the engineer has recommended a Grant boiler. I know nothing about these things but they seem more expensive than other brands like Worcester Bosch.

Anyone know if the Grant is worth the extra or can anyone recommend any brands. The current, now deceased, boiler is a Worcester Bosch Heatslave 15/19

We got a Worcester Green Star 18/25 last year......after asking advice on here.

It has been brilliant, very quiet and seems to be saving us a fortune. Cost £3k.
Mind you...plumbers are probably cheaper in Scotland than Oakham:lol:

To be fair the quote I have is not massively more than Doon paid. Just wanted to make sure the make is ok as the price is in the right ballpark. As the engineer is a recommended Grant fitter he is going to push that brand

Just had 2 worcetser oil boilers installed - both seem good and come with a 7 year warranty - oil levels would suggest good economy!

Look into a Warmflow with a Riello Burner, All the Tech' is in the Burner. Grants are Ok and as has been said you Can't really go Wrong with a Worcester.
