anyone know a good iron for a 18 hc

My brother in law get to play about once maybe twice a month he plays off 18hc, when we play a round together he has been using a set of ping isi irons which he is replacing in january he asked me for some advise what to use i said try ping g range anyone suggest a good iron for him? dont think he like g range as he is a good ball striker any advise would be good

Tell him save his money and keep playing his isi....... There just a fore runner to every modern day ping cavity back iron on the market today I would think........

Can't go too far wrong with a good set of Mizuno irons. JPX 800s or 825s or the new EZ range. #nothingfeelslikeaMizuno

Whilst we're smoking the funny stuff, I hit my wedge 170 into the breeze today...As for irons, any game improvement iron. There are dozens and dozens of options, all much of a muchness.

Ping.

Anything with a 'G' in the model range and he won't go far wrong.

I've recently hit:
Mizuno MP 54, JPX 825 and 825 pro
TM Rocketblades
TM Speedblades
Titleist 714 Ap2 & 1
Cleveland 588 MT

I'm 18ish handicap and am upgrading from a great set of RAMs from the early 1990's so not too different a situation.

For me it's close between the 825 pro's and the Speedblades, but I'd recommend your BiL go and hit as many different ones as he can.
