Good News, the 4 day weeks finish soon and I have survived without too much financial damage. Admitedly I have basically not left the house for a month and a half (except to play golf) but that has at least helped on the Wednesday way ins.

Anyway, the purse strings may be loosened again soon and I am liking the look of the Adams Insight XTD as an interesting cross between a hybrid and a fairway wood. Problem is they are only available in the states at the moment.

Has anyone ever imported from the US and do they have any reliable retailers that they use.

I have bought balls from the states, and it always works out surprisingly expensive (import duty and the real killer VAT included on postage costs as well as retail price). I don't have a retailer to recommend, but unless you really really like this club (and how can you tell without hitting it), I would buy somewhere local (UK based). Aren't one of the Wilson Fybrids similar?

Tried the Fybrids and was not overly impressed. Have tried a few Adams clubs recently as my mate has bought nearly a full bag of them. Really liked the hybrids and fairways. Always assumed it was cheaper to buy from the states due to the strong pound. If not, can easily wait a couple of months until they are released over her.

Yes a few times. The $ is so weak that if you shop around you'll get a bargain. You will pay import tax in the UK on goods over the value of $52 I think. You're looking at $60(£30) shipping but I would say any of the big golf retailers over there are fine - Edwin Watts, Golfgods etc. Delivery last time was only 7 days for a set of irons which was good. That was from Callaway pre-owned.
Despite the tax I came out way ahead of UK prices.
Saying that there does seem to be some very good offers at the moment from online UK retailers but probably not on the current models, if you can get past 'must have the latest kit' syndrome you'll do fine here at home.

i brought a callaway driver shaftbrand new of ebay from the states they where about £200 over here got one for near $50 with $40 shipping charge so only cost me roughly £60. bit of a bargain.
