Toying with some new irons and being a bit of a Mizuno fanboy i'm very tempted by the MP 54's or the JPX Forged and was wondering how similar they are to the MX 200's as in forgiveness.

Assuming the JPX are the next incarnation of the JPX 825 (not a Mizzy fan so not seen the latest release) then based on my go with the 825Pro they are pretty easy to hit. I suggest finding somewhere stocking the new line up and giving them a go. What suits one and all that. At the end of the day Mizzy don't do bad clubs so whatever version you go for it will be happy days

I have hit the MP54 6 Iron. It's very very nice. Never hit the JPX's but have hit MP32, 57 and 59.

The 54 is easier to hit than the others there and I was hitting it a long way. It was similar to Callaway X Hot Pros in terms of distance. Feel was soft-I thought softer than the 57 & 59.

Any specific questions just ask and Ill try to answer...

I have heard they are supposed to feel really soft off the face, something to do with the harmonic tuning that makes them sound softer as well.

I'm just hoping i can hit the them as i have my heart set on them but the new Titliest range may get a look in also.

Yes they do feel very soft-I think the majority of players would like the feeling! I have read some folk thinking that they will be hard to hit but I really didn't find that at all. On the same day I hit X Hot Pro, Rocketbladz Tour, Callaway forged and Ping i20. The MP54's were the easiest for me to hit.

i also thought they looked really nice!

Had a hit with a JPX EZ Forged 6 iron today.

The shaft (R300), felt very light compared to mine.

Struggled to hit the club well. I was getting a lot of toe strikes which didn't help. For ones out the middle of the face, I was disappointed at how hard it felt, not forge-like at all.

I won't be buying.

Any ideas why that would be?
