Just been having a browse online and some of the shoes I see look absolutely terrible.

Im all for comfort but some of the shoes I saw were just so trainer like, and I dont think thats right on the golf course where smart-attire is usually the requirement.

Now Im not a snob, far from it, but surely standards are really slipping here.

The worst pair were pure white puma's with the puma symbol along the side, seriously, if you couldnt see the spikes you would honest believe that these were the latest offering at JD Sports or wherever.

I understand where you're coming from. Though golf has been through many attire changes through the years. Most of FJ offerings aren't exactly what you'd term as traditional or classic nowadays.

However, trainer style shoes hardly go with typical golf trousers, like chinos or standard black 'slacks'.

Golf shoes is golf shoes I guess. And these trainer style ones do go better with shorts than a traditional pair of golf shoes. But that leads us into another old favourite on here!

I have the very shoes you speak of, and they go fine with my chinos, maybe not as good a look with the more tailored trousers, but, thats what the ADIpures are for.

Golf is going young....get over it

I think FJ have been going for the younger market over the last 2 years with their FJ sport line. I agree with the Puma shoes though. They look terrible and like a trainer. Definitely one for the Villegas wannabes.

I don't mind the design of adidas and like my Dryjoys and Icons as I am a bit of a traditionalist. I hope we don't got too far down the trendy road, be it in clothes, shoes or even bags but feel it is inevitable

I'm with medway on this. Some of the new stuff especially the Adidas gear would look better on a council estate being worn by a yout wiv trackies, hoody 'n' a bottle of cider in his hand innit!
Give me the classic golf shoe any day.
Oh and before any shouts elitist, I live on a council estate.

I just think that its getting to casual, I mean these are terrible, absolutely awful, I mean take the studs out and these could be seen on hoodies across the country.

There is just no need for things to get this casual, I absolutely hate it as I have always believed that golfers should be dressed smartly.
