anyone had a problem with american golf price match promise? think i might have one to talk about soon

Have done it three times. Once on my i20 irons instore (price matched Snainton), on a pair of shoes instore (price matched Sports Direct), and once using their online service (they price matched an offer from a pro shops online website)

I've had the odd one which they tried to rectyfy then I told them to sod off as Direct Golf offered me a better deal. They did price match my Nike Pro Combos the other day which saved me £55 (Thanks Gareth)

What's your story? Something to do with AP2's?

When I bought my Nike performance stand bag it was £40 cheaper on clubhousegolf compared to AG. The guy in AG gave a cynical chuckle when I pointed this out to him and asked for a price match; he was telling me that they only match certain sites where the item is in stock. He seemed put out that I had asked for a price match and was generally trying to find ways of getting out of it until he and I both checked and it was in stock at the much cheaper price.

If I wasn't impatient, I would've just walked out and gone to clubhouse but I had a round that day and was sick of a single strap bag that I had previous.

No worries pal

What are your first impressions?

OP. I've had price matches declined online but then accepted in store.

Did you try the price match online or go into store?

i will wait until i speak to manger on wednesday before i start the full story buy if i do have a problem i will tell all.

Never had a problem when price matching online, however in store I was told they wouldn't price match amazon and some other web sites I can't remember I'd stopped listening at that point.

Never had a problem price matching when I've tried it, as long as the item was in stock on the other site. Use it in store at the Bristol store regularly.

Got price matched lunar control shoes to golfonline.co.uk and saved myself £35...... The size I had requested wasnt even in stock on golfonlines website :) Ended up I just walked up to the AG that had them in stock to try them on and the guy ASKED what Price I had been price matched at........ luckily Im an honest fellow eh ^_^ Or I might of bumped another fiver off, cant remember !

I've had them price match a stuburt waterproof suit saving me about £90 off their price and also a mizuno mp105 putter, which was £51 instead of £149. Both times they price matched online replying quickly and I also got quidco by buying online.

I went to our nearest AG with my ipad showing an, in stock, Bushnell v3 at a great price. They didn't have one in stock! They had a v2 so I checked the same company who were a fair bit cheaper on that too so I said I'd buy the v2 if they matched. Couldn't do that they said as the internet site was out of stock, I reminded them that they too were out of stock on the v3 but "rules is rules" and I left with £200+ cash in my pocket!

I bought an rbz 3 wood when they first came out and they were £20 cheaper in clubhouse golf and the guy tried to meet me in the middle, saying it would cost me a tenner p&p or a tenner in petrol to get there. I complained and got the £20 off plus another £20 of vouchers to spend….

Got a good price match on a garmin S1. The website i looked at was vat free but i never noticed untill i was in the shop. They price matched anyway which saved me about £30.

My personal experience is excellent. In fact I've just come from there with two wedges in hand should if been £89 each. Got them both for £90 as DG have that offer on.

DG didn't have the stock but they still matched it
