Anyone got the Ping G Driver yet?

Got a fitting on Wednesday like the look of this, been using my mates G30 over the winter and liking it. I am going with an open mind regards head type & shaft.

Anyone got one? looking for feedback.

2 of the lads in my roll up have got them already, both love them.

One had the SLDR before and he is getting 30 yards more, the other had a G30 and he is getting 15 yards more.

Getting fitted tomorrow for one, im in two minds between the G and the G 30, got my heart set on the G but my wallet says G30 😀 tried the G out the other night lovely club so looks like my wallets gonna take a battering, Hit the SF the best, lovely flight on it got rid of my little fade, the LS went further but not as straight ?

I was fitted for one at the AG show Kenny and loved it. A lot louder than my Titleist but the thing wouldn't move off the straight and was getting out there. The shaft I ended up with was the stock Alta one. I had to put it down quick

Even ping don't claim this added distance. There's no way the g30 is 15 yards shorter than the g.

When my boss went to Gainsborough the g only gave him average 8 yards over his g10

I never mentioned ping claiming his extra distance, I am going off the back of what he is saying.
When I play with him next I will get him to hit both drivers and report back with the exact yardages for you.
It might well be he is actually playing better now and getting better results as his handicap tumbles.

I still love my low spinning Cleveland Classic, magic driver. Its the person swinging it that has the problems.

Off to Ping in June for a fitting and interested to see what the G reviews are like especially compared to G30. Hoping Ping will give me the option of either or depending on my numbers. Not entirely sold on the look of the G behind the ball

I've just bought a G30 second hand from a mate and have been hitting it really well compared to my old X2 Hot.
I'd love to try to the G, and thinking about looking at the G hybrid and 3 Wood to replace my existing set....or the Irons....summer is soon!

I've got it, took it out for the first time on Saturday and still sliced it. Lovely driver though, need a series of lessons to do it justice.

I had the G30 tour. My m8 got the G driver and I had a hit with it and quite liked it, was about 10 yards longer. My m8 I recon is 15-20 yards longer than his old i25.

I was custom fitted recently and tried the G then in multiple shaft options on the LM. Gave good numbers but the M1 was much better distance and dispersion for me. So went with that and so far not regretting it.

I have the G30 with tour 65 shaft and hit the G driver with the same shaft in AG at the weekend and was getting another 15 to 20 yards of carry. I put this down to the head feeling a touch lighter so was finding an extra 6 or 7 mph of club head speed compared to previous monitor sessions with the G30. G feels like it needs a little less effort to swing.

I gamed the G30 LS all last year and loved it. The weight port split on the back so it went back to ping to replace it (God knows why they can't just send the weight). As it was away I had the clubs demo G series LS tech and used same shaft. For me it was nowhere near as accurate but same distance.

I also tried the 816 big Bertha Alpha DBD and am longer with that for sure. Feels amazing and now will end up selling my g30 as it feel like you are hitting the ball with an empty baked bean can compared the the 816.
