I have a taylormade rbz stage to 3 wood which i love but im using a titleist 913 driver and rescues and would like a 3 wood to match my set but was wondering before i buy the 3 wood fd if anyone has compared the 2 if them

I dislike TM from a brand point of view, I'm not keen on the white, but more than anything, all their current fairways and rescues use really light weight shafts, which I can't get on with. I like some weight to swing, hence the 82g shafts in my titleists.

I have 2 FDs and have tried various TM fairways. The TM fairways are good providing you find a suitable shaft (maybe a TP or Tour version) and like the colour white. Many good players do.

The 913 fairways have 2 models, the F and the FD. The essential differences are that the FD head is slightly larger, deeper from top to bottom and marginally less spiny. The choice of shafts is the same in both. Titleist say that they should play similarly and the differences are largely a matter of preference. I think most players who want a fairway that that will mainly use off the deck choose the F model and those who want a tee club choose the FD. You can, of course, use either for either purpose, but the slightly shallower head makes the F look a little bit more user friendly off the deck.

TM has a decent set of custom shafts too, although fewer than Titleist.

The only good way to resolve the question is to demo both, ideally side by side. Don't forget the 4 wood (17 degree) option as a good compromise between tee shots and fairway shots, especially if your next club down is a hybrid.

If you love a club and it works well for you why would you look to change it just to get a matching set ?

Agreed
Plenty of Tour Pros have a Driver from one make, fairway from another then irons from a 3rd and wedges from a 4th.......and a putter from another..

Use what works and what you like the look of....

In my bag

Driver = Ping i15
3 wood = TM RBZ HL
5 wood = Titliest 19*f

All work well, not fussed about matching them up.

Swapping a club you love just so it has the same name as your other clubs is a little bit silly IMHO. I was thinking about giving the Fd a go but like Murph, and for the same reasons he gives, I would never pick up an RBZ.
