Thinking very seriously about changing my putter before the season proper and this beastie is on my short list mainly as I like the offset and ive got an old bronze Zing at the moment. I bought it out of a sin bin about 15 years ago and it's been fine but lately ive noticed it (or me of course) tends to drag putts to the left of the cup.

One theory is that it would have been quite a pricey bit of kit all those years ago and maybe it was CF'd. At address it certainly looks a little closed.

I guess I could go for having it re-aligned and this might work out better as ive come to love the weight and sound of it on long lags. No gimmicks, no fuss.

What do you think?

i haven't got one mate but what a putter in my opinion, it looks and feels great, another good one is the Odyssey black series, very similar weight and feel,
get your other putter checked out first incase there is a flaw in your putting stroke

Got a Redwood Zing and it is keeping my Scotty and Gooses C-Groove out of my bag at the moment!!

The weight is lovely and the feel is superb.

I like the look of the new Redwood Anser's and I think they are competitively priced. I've got an old Ping Anser from the 80's which I bring out to play every so often in the hope that it will reignite. Sadly it still fails me on the short ones but like you I have an inkling the face is a fraction shut.

I'm tempted to try one of the new Redwoods out but need to see how can get the cost past HID. She is on an economy drive after my latest credit card came in. Not overly impressed with my golf spending.

I think i'll add the Zing to the shortlist (as well as the Odyssey Blacks-tah). my excuse is going to be ive just spent best part of £200 on a 3 wood which I might use a dozen times a round- by that score £160 odd on a club I use ** times(mutters large figure under breath) is a bargain...if that fails it's cutting back on the booze or being nice to the MIL (hope it doesn't come to that)
