anyone golfed in south carolina?

been thinking about a trip out there with my dad in september, has anybody been? if so did you use a golf holiday company? where did you saty and what courses did you play.

is it worth the trek out there??

No, but before you think my post was a complete waste of time, I'm probably going to be there at some point this year before September, likely around mid-late spring before school summer holidays. My clubs will be coming too.

I can let you know anything I find out before going, and also my experience after coming back.

I haven't been myself but a good friend & work colleague who is a very good amateur (County Seniors Champion) raves about Myrtle Beach and said that any of the courses out there are well worth the visit. I believe he uses a specialist golf holiday firm. I think from memory one of the courses he played was Diamond Back Ridge or something like that - not sure it's somewhere I would look for my ball in the rough with a name like that.
I will ask him tomorrow for a brief report and where he played.
