Not sure about the one in Scotland but comments on the ones in England have not been good. Large queues to try any kit, no real bargains as promoted by American Golf and far too many places selling villas etc with not enough manufacturer stands.
Sorry for being a bit of a downer but have heard many reports about the Golf Shows in England being below par, hopefully they are different in Soctland.
I have been to the one in birmingham good in parts the american golf had some good bargains but as said before too many villas and silly things like this at the golf show also i would reccomend booking if you want to try out any gear book early.
I went last year when it was in Edinburgh.
Went on the Sunday it was pretty busy but managed to get a go with most of the equipment without much of a wait, the only exception was Taylormade stand.
A lot of the stands are hotel/resort based but there is a good mix overall.
There were bargins to be had in AG with prices slashed on stuff i guess they didnt want to pack up and cart to the a warehouse somewhere.
Went along today with the family. We were in quite early this morning so had a chance to get around and try things before it got too busy. Mt daughter got a free lesson from one of the pros and then managed a nother lesson at the KidsGolf section. I had a blast with a couple of the new drivers at the manufacturers stands. All in all I would say it was better then when it was at Inglston. AG had a huge shop selling all the old stuff at good prices. they even had some good buys on some of the current stuff.
Worth a look tomorrow if you're in the area and looking for something to do.
Went today and thought it was ok. Not enough manufacturer stands for my liking though. Also very little in the way of good clothing stalls. AG Shop was crap and sold very little in new season stock, mostly all the russbish they couldn't sell in their shops. Hope AG are replaced for next year.
Plenty of options to try clubs and putters, not my thing as it creates thoughts of money leaving my hip pocket lol.
Yep, I'd agree with that.
Myself and my two sons spent almost four hours there.
A few too many holiday type companies there and not enough manufacturers, but it was all well laid out and there were a few bargains to be had. I got myself a Mizuno Aerolite III stand bag for £49.99!
