I was mailed by GM (17 may) having "won" a polo shirt for a review of a golf course in the monthly readers reviews section. Despite several emails nothing arrived. Just wondering if anyone else had this experience?
Anyone else won a prize from Golf monthly and never received it?

No, I won an FJ shirt last year and it turned up without issue.
I know a few people who have won things and have never had issue with GM. I would have thought the issue would be with the shirt provider rather than the stand up guys from GM.

You usually get it when the issue is about to go live. So you can sometimes get the acknowledgment of winning quite a bit in advance of them shipping anything.

I would expect a reply to any email within about 48hrs(except over a weekend - they aren't a call centre!), I wouldn't necessarily expect the shirt within any particular timeframe unless one had been provided.

Nope, I won a shirt last year, had an email from FJ direct asking me to pick the shirt I liked and it was here shortly after

i think there was a similar delay last year sometime but turned out to be with an outside supplier rather than GM, dont fret you will get your shirt no doubt.

Who have you been e-mailing?, usualy any probs on here just email Mike @ michael_harris@ipcmedia.com & he will give you a reply , they are very good , if your due something you WILL get it
Thomas Clarke deals with it on golfmonthly@ipcmedia.com as he was chasing a FJ shirt for me which I won back in the April Issue (Darren Clarke), I think you'll find it's FJ or their supplier that's simply slow.

I was fortunate to win a couple of wedges a few months ago. I had moved house in between entry and winning so they sent them to a my previous address. First thing I knew about winning was an email saying they were unable to deliver them (thankfully). So I explained the situation and they agreed to resend them to my new address :thup:

I won a FJ glove, it turned up after about 4 months, only problem is was left handed, my catogue doubles partner loved it!!

I've never won any of the comps in the mag - so can't comment on that.
But then I never did receive the golf balls I was meant to get with my subscription either, so I must be really unlucky

I won a golf glove when they used one of my comments in an article. Took about 5 months and 4 chasing up emails to arrive. Obviously it wasn't a big issue as I was not needing it, but it got to the stage of it being a point of principal. And possibly complicated by the fact I am a lefty.
Then again won a top of the range Ping putter with a rival mag and the left handed version turned up within 2 days. But as has been mentioned the mags are at the mercy of the suppliers I think.
