As I say anyone been and does it look like it will be as spectacular as the press suggest?Toying with idea of going early May to play at Machrihanish itself early May to play in their Open at a huge cost saving price and may be tempted to shell out the substantial sum to play this new track so interested to hear if anyone has seen the site?

A workmate is originally from Campbeltown and goes back three or four times a year. At the tail end of last summer he said the dunes track was looking a bit rough and ready in parts. They have had a lot of problems with rabbits and sand blown onto some of the new greens. He was back between xmas and new year also. He thinks it could do with a good summers growth and thinks the may opening is a bit early. Maybe worthwhile to play when you are already in the area but he won't be paying the money to play until late summer at least

I walked about 5 holes of it with the dog last year and to be fair its looks the business. I think it will take a wee bit of time bedding it but its looks awesome from the top of the dunnes. It will all depend on the price for me whether I play it or not. Scottish golf is getting far far far too expensive and given the location they need to be sensible.

How this was designed and built is something Mr Trump needs to look at in order to keep as many people on side as possible.

If you play it be sure to post a review.
