Hi all

Am planning on going to Dubai for the week before Christmas, it'll be myself, wife and son who will be nearly 3.

Where in Dubai should we look to stay? Ideally we're looking at more of a beach holiday and am hoping there will be enough going on to keep my son entertained.

As I've been with my current employer for 10 years they are putting £3000 towards it.....can be split any way between flights/hotels/spending money.

Cheers

Adam

Jumeirah is a great area. I stayed at the Hilton at Jumeirah beach and it was perfect. Great private beach, situated on a strip which had a load of restaurants and shops. Then, the train station was only a 5 min walk up the road which allowed us to travel all around Dubai really easily. Take your son to Wild Wadi water park, it's amazing, best water park I've been to.

Indeed take YOURSELF to Wild Wadi water park! - great fun for all the kids - including the grown up ones :-)

Whoa, nice, I got a card stamped with the chief exec's signature for my ten year service!

Atlantis is good for families, Fairmont also on the palm is offering free half board in December...so is the Anantara. I reckon if you chucked £500 at it you could stay at the anantara half board, that's a good hotel, stayed there last october.

Def stay at Jumeirah or The Palm, don;t consider anywhere else with a family.imo.

I only stayed over for a couple of days on the way back from Singapore, I booked a family room in the Premier Inn just beside the emirates airport then ran trips over to the likes of the Atlantis on the Palm, its is a fantastic Hotel/Complex with a massive multistorey aquatic tank and waterpark. Might be worth considering. The Premier Inn itself was very good in itself, a cafe, lounge, restaurant, rooftop pool complex with lifeguards etc and not a massive taxi ride from any of the attractions.

cheers for the advice guys, Jumeirah and Palm was where I was thinking of so good to hear your thoughts. Now to find a good deal!
