Anyone a member at Brampton Park GC?

Hi guys,

Is anyone on here a member at Brampton Park Golf Club in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire?

I'm going for a temporary membership from March until End of May and just wondered what good things people can say about it.

Also looking to get a handicap sorted by end of March so may be looking at arranging a few knocks around, would he good to see how many people play there from GM forum.

No but I played it once. There are some long walks between holes. The first hole is weird, in that the tree by the green is bang in the way. Not keen on it having a sewage works in the middle of the course either. Other than that, it was fine.

You can get a nice breakfast in the garden centre next door too.

played it, can't say I liked it that much.

You can't just play 9 as that's miles away from the clubhouse, shortest is 13 and that's a fair hike back.

Some of the back holes are a bit repetitive, and the 16th is an oddball - par 4 dogleg left, careful choice of club off the tee is essential as this hole has a 90 deg turn. I defy many to avoid paying out on the captain's charity - any bunker on the 18th and you need to be good off the tee as there are a lot of them.

for a temporary course OK, I wouldn't want to be a lifer.
