Anybody want to buy a second hand RZN ball used by a wee lad from Norn Iron

Sell it quick whilst the price is high. The one that you'd really want is from when he holes out to win the Masters. That'd be worth some money.

no ball (apart from an original feathery) is worth what these fools are bidding.

Peter Jones once said "people will buy anything..."

I already own 4 RORS Nike balls, I have 'source' (American Golf but don't tell anyone)

that is disgusting. I don't condone making a mint off a golf ball thrown into the crowd. Some kid should get it and it should ignite their desire to take up golf.
$6114 for a golf ball... I've seen it all.

I condone it. Someone who could do with the money selling it to someone with more money than sense. Everybody's happy, what's the problem.

I know there are a number of professionals who will only sign things for kids because they know that adults will slap it on ebay to make a profit, which they don't like.
For some reason, possibly difficult for me to explain, it doesn't sit well with me.

Th black marking he has put on next to the Nike swoosh is messy. That would annoy me. The dots I put on balls have to be neat and tidy. It is a hard life living with OCD you know.

Well that might stop after this sale too!

I'm the same with the doubts about the morality of selling it!

Certainly, everything has a value and it's whatever someone will pay for it!

I'd sooner see Nike buy it with a non-disclosure contract!

I doubt he'll be tossing the Masters winning ball into the crowd!

why not, someone might want a ball from a player in the top 25 finishers:whistle:

Don't see a huge problem. The guy that caught it has made some money, may help to send his kids to university or pay for his parents in a care home, or may help to fund his crack addition. Who knows, but best of luck to him.

If the golfers want to stop this then they can give the ball to a charity or museum, but they didn't so I imagine they have no problem with this. If someone is prepared to pay for it then it has a price.

There is a whole industry regarding 'celebrity memorabillia'. If people wish to pay for owning an item I see nothing wrong with another party selling said item. Supply and demand pure and simple.

Fair play to someone who saw an opportunity to exploit some idiots. Although I would rather have seen the proceeds go to charity. I do wonder though if any of the bidders have been part of Gerrys syndicate that won big looking for a souvenir
