Anybody recommend a good Golf Flight bag??

Hi Guys,

I'm going the Algarve soon on a golf holiday and I need to invest in a decent flight bag. Anybody recommend one?

3kgs is alot of weight off your typical sports equipment allowance.


I use a padded izzo travel bag at 2lb

Cheers, I hadn't thought about the weight being an issue and need to check what the sports baggage allowance is with Ryan Air. Any idea roughly what a set of clubs weighs?

It was 12 yrs ago the last time i took my clubs abroad and back then the weight wasn't so much an issue.

My clubs and bag weights 12kg. I usually add my golf wear, shoes and balls to the bag and it comes in at 18kgs with the travel bag. I then squeeze my normal holiday wear in my wifes case so i dont have to pay for an extra bag.

I need to invest in something to weigh them as Ryan Air are ruthless if your over.

I use my fishing scales . Plenty of cheap ones on ebay. Comes in handy with normal baggage too

To weigh them, stand on your bathroom scales while holding your bag. Then weigh yourself without the bag and subtract the difference.

Thanks for the advice but my bathroom scales only just take the wifes weight
