Anybody play any courses in York?

Hi everybody, just joined the forum after reading a load of posts over the last few days.

Just wondered if anybody plays or is a member at any courses in or around York?

I'm going to sign up for my first membership at sandburn hall this Saturday and am rather excited.

Hi Joe, I'm a member at York golf club just down the road in strensall from sandburn hall, I haven't played sandburn but have played forest park which is quite a decent track, but played strensall once and found it in tip top shake a good challenge friendly set up so joined last may.

Ah yes, I havnt played at strensall but have played forest park a few times as its the closest course to my girlfriends house which is we're I usually am, I would really recommend sandburn to anybody in the area. I havnt played many courses at all but from the ones I have it is my favourite, the staff are very friendly too.

Get settled in and enjoy being a member then maybe we can arrange to play at each others course some time soon?

That sounds great to me, I only play with two of my friends at the moment as I don't know anybody else who plays. One thing I look forward to doing is playing with different people and different courses.

Also get playing in some comps especially drawn ones or if they use a computer based system just put your name down at a time that suits gets you mixing with other members very quickly, oh and look out for gm meets, there's also a Yorkshire forum on providers got a day out at kirbymoorside on may 2nd if interested
