I only ask as hardly any recent posts seem to be about playing the game.

I'll kick it off, as I had a good result today!

Course was closed yesterday and I was surprised to see 18 holes open today for the Winter League 4BBB, a mix of temp and main greens.
We halved the first three holes then went 1 down on the fourth and after that, however hard we tried, we were always 1 or 2 down until the 15th when we at last squared the match, finally went ahead on 17 and a shaky three footer on 18 for par and a half sealed a crucial one up win.

Yup...played twice. Less said about it all the better though!!

Yep, played in the roll up this morning and won £18! Driver and putter working very well, a bit ropey on between mind...

Played both days I'm roll ups - only 12 holes open

26 points both days - level par

Not even in the top three in both roll ups

played 1st time, full 18 holes since starting again, 1st time new club, lets call it a familiarisation round!!!

Good job I was on my own, loverly afternoon in Somerset though

Yes! 12 holes, days are getting longer so these will increase. Also picked up a nice group of blokes to go round with.

Our opened 7 holes and we played them twice. Several temps but I was really happy with the strike of the ball and at least it was a walk

Grabbed a quick 9 this afternoon, after a 5 week lay off. 4 bogeys, 2 pars and................. drum roll.............. 3 birdies!!

The force was strong with me today!!:D

Played both days - frustratingly, all on temps.

Played today with the current and immediate former greens chairmen. We walked on to every green and all bar one were quite firm and totally playable - not even a drop of water in the cups!! Due to the laziness of a glorified grass cutter this morning, the club has missed out on approx. £500 today.

We would have been one of the only places open on full greens in the area and would have made a killing on green fees - the temps also put a load of members off coming out, so bar and food revenue gone too.

The members get regular club emails which all ask for our support for this or that - losing patience if the club cannot even help itself.

:(
