We had very high winds here last night well over 100MPH according to local radio and we were on the edge so it was even worse a bit further north and west.

We have been quite lucky in they the only a can see is some strips of felt off my cider shed.

or nearest NDN have had the whole fence on one side down has have the guy across the lane.

from our back window you can see the end of there garden and piled up at the end is the 8 seater table and chairs that sat on the patio, its now a good 100 yards away from where it started smashed to pieces!

Looks like there's a fair few tree's down as well, headed out of town and the A82 was closed by the canal, big tree across the road. took a short cut, 2 of the back roads also closed with tree down.

Some trees down nearby, nothing too serious. Gusts were rattling some of the roof tiles and kept me awake from 3 until 6 this morning so I feel completely rubbish. Edit: mind you I'll take feeling a little sleepy over being stuck on the wrong side of the Tay road bridge as that's usually what happens.

I was working on the East Coast mainline last night at Berwick upon-tweed. At 3am that is some of the worst weather I've ever seen and if it was worse than that further north. WOW!

I saw flying frogs/toads last night the gusts were that strong. Maybe they were enjoying themselves as they jumped and were blown about 2 yards away each time.

Certainly felt our windows were about to give way at one point- we're high-ish up and no hills nearby to deflect the strength.

hadnt even thought of that, will need to check my policy:thup:

they are wise to 'storm damage' now- anything that looked old wont be renewed as my last insurance company valuer told me. I cancelled their policy that day.

Heavens that was a difficult read!

Wind blowing the letters about as well?

Not a day for Golf up there I suspect! Certainly not in shorts! Only the occasional mild gust down here earlier, but it's been picking up since then!

Scenes of devastation here in Berkshire. Currently on the phone to my insurer, the samaritans and the Red Cross.

The only wind damage dahn sarf is in Imurgs house and is a result of reheated sprouts and stuffing 😳

Feel for those experiencing bad weather elsewhere, hope everyone is safe

my mate that lives up castle heather said, when he looked out into the garden this morning is little girls climbing frame was in the garden two doors up.

Trampolines have fallen out of fashion up here in the last couple of years, thank god. they used to be seen in pretty much every back garden up here.
