Signed up for the GM deal and should be receiving my cleveland RTX 56 quite soon.

Given that the sand wedge is the same loft is there any point keeping it in the bag?

Sorry if a stupid question; Newbie alert!!!

I wouldn't, I'd replace the set sand wedge for a gap wedge 50-52. I myself is in this dilemma as my set sand wedge is 54 but I also carry a 56. No point in the 56 as I never use it so it's getting replaced with a 50 soon. Normal pw are 46 and sandys are 54-56 so a nice 50 to fill the gap. Or just save money and hit your sand wedge harder :)

What's the bounce on the 56° you're expecting?

No it's the smooth one... i've actually been wondering what's the difference? I've seen DG have the CB ones at £49.99 yet the smooth ones are £74.99?

I know they'll look different but doesn't really bother me; actually tempted to get the 52 CB at £49.99 so i'll have PW, 52, 56 and 60

Actually just read the difference; quite happy with my setup to be honest- hardly ever use my 60 only when required but from further distances or less obstacles would prefer CB if they are more forgiving.

Personally I'd play around with both for a while and see what suits you - hit some pitches, bunker shots, out of the rough, full shots etc with both. Might be the case that you like one more for full shots but one is better out of bunkers for you. If that's the case you need to make a call on what is more important to you. Basically I'd go by the performance of each club for what you want to use it for then, as has been said above, fill in the gap between that club and your PW with another wedge of the same type.

My mag wedge offer came today, it's a 56* with 14* bounce, cavity backed. And it looks stunning!

No idea what to do with it as I'm currently using the 9 iron for 80% of shots within 120 yards. So my pw, aw, 58 and 60 are almost redundant. The latter 2 are no longer even in the bag. I'm sure this will soon change...

Just noticed, this is not the rotex 2.0 model :(
Still mustn't grumble
