I'm looking to get my cards put in over the next couple of weeks so, wondering if there is any other members of Swanston New Golf Club on here that would be free once or twice in the next week or so?

Does it have to be a club member who signs your cards, or just someone with a Congu handicap? I used to be a member there and know a few of the guys. I'd be happy to help out if I can.

I think it has to be a member with a handicap, there is a Medal tomorrow which I would play in but I have football commitments first, and I don't think the next medal is until Sun April 1st. I'm pretty sure I know someones step-dad is a member so may try to get a couple rounds in with him and his friends and then enter the April 1st medal.

My understanding is that anyone with a CONGU active handicap can mark a card. Someone can also play with you as a marker. The pro at my old course used to happily go out at the end of the medal if someone needed a marker.

One of my friends plays there - she told me about one of the high handicappers which made me LOL. If she hits her ball into the rough from the tee she just loads up again. My friend said to her that she couldnt do that. 'Oh, but I can't hit a ball out of the rough so I always take three off the tee' was her reply
