Looking for a set of 52/58 or 54/60 wedges. Does anyone know if there are any online deals around as not got much to spend. Not bothered about latest models etc.

Thanks in advance.

There's two Cleveland 588 wedges for sale in the For Sale section. £65 for the pair; the the best wedges I've used.
Not me selling by the way!

I'll vouch for MD as a great brand on a budget, have a 60° low bounce that is becoming my favourite club

In other news, I have a 52° and 58° pair of callaway X Forged going spare...

Kev, there nowt wrong with the clubs suggested. but and its a massive but.

buy quality and by that I mean look at Vokey or the equivalent. They are the mutts nuts and you will only buy once, until you wear them out in 10 yr.

check out Golfsuppot who guarantee to be the cheapest online.

one last un your gap between 54 an 60 seems a bit big. What degree is you PW

i have a 48 (me fave club), a 52 and 56 degree. If you look on the Vokey sites they tell you what there clubs degree and bounce are for. Ie if your course drains well you will need a different bounce to one which is "boggy". That's what I was told.

lastly the suggestion re Vokey SM4's is one I would deffo go along with.

having just said all that, ave just had a look on golf support, clearance clubs and they have, Cleveland, taylormade and Wilson staff wedges all under £50.

Cheers for the help. I think second hand is the way to go. I used to have a 54 SM4 and regretfully sold it as wanted matching wedges. It did feel right in the hands. I have just been using some Benross Zip It wedges and didn't really take to them. The newer models are probably better.

I have tried a low bounce wedge and found it ok. There are no matching sets in 54/60 on the bay. PW loft is 48. Dislike carrying three wedges hence a 2 wedge set up.
