Any ideas what it could be?

Last night I woke up a couple of times with the feeling something was on my ankle and today it has carried on continuously however it now feels like something is crawling under my skin.
That does sound worse than it probably is but the feeling is doing my head in and its more just above my Achilles.

Any ideas

Doing a little research on google it suggests that the condition is known as" Formication".

However none of the causes it suggests are applicable to me[watch it all you jokers].

Looks like I will have to keep an eye on the situation and maybe visit docs if necessary.

Spiders? like i have seen on the discovery channel, they get in your ear and then hatch, yours have found their way to your ankle! The only way to fix is to slice it open and release them.

No mate definitely not Sciatica no pains at all.
It almost certainly Formication according to google but don't know what condition its related to yet.

If it's 'Crabs' then rub the area three times a day with castor sugar. It doesn't get rid of them but it rots their teeth and they don't bite as bad.

When I was having my sciatica problems there were times when I had no pain at all but it felt like there was a stone in my shoe under the ball of my foot, it drove me nuts,
obviously there were times when the pain was extraordinary as well.
