I have just got a lovely new Titleist 915 driver, and absolutely love it. One odd thing though is the last couple of rounds, on certain tee shots it has a clicky like rattle inside the head.

Checked the adaptor and weight and both are screwed in tight, and seem ok. No affect on the ball striking, but is is just strange,

It has been freezing last two times I have played, and was wondering if a bit of water could have got in the head, and has frozen ? Shaking the club there is no sound, only when I swing it in anger.

Any thoughts ?

I had a cally do something very similar. No noise when shaking only when swinging.

The head was screwed in tight, but this was resolved by removing the head and re-fitting. Still not sure how this helped but it worked.

Hope this helps.

Believe it's caused by excess glue breaking off inside the head ? Seem to remember it has happened to a number of people

I had this happen to a 913. I took it to AG even though I never bought it from them. They sent it back to Titleist and they gave me a brand new head

where are the clubs usually stored?
In the house. I do give them a clean after mosr rounds, so wondered if some water had got in the head through the adaptor.

I have taken the head off and put back on, so will see if that works. It seems to happen for the first two or three drives of the day, and then disappears.

are you sure this isn't the sound when you've hit the sweetspot as I hear you've never hit it before :D

Rich..I've had this a couple of times down the years and once it was a small chunk of glue in the shaft, not the head..
Take the shaft off then head and shake the shaft ( oooh er Matron!)
If it does rattle you can get a pair of long nose pliers and force the end of the grip apart and get it out - or your Pro should be able to...
Give the head a good shake too (oooh err again!)
