Any history between Coltart and Kuchar?

Seems very rude of Kuchar to just blank Coltart like that as he is just doing his job, although maybe not the best time to ask a question when someone is playing their shot. Any history behind this one? Kuchar always seems to be made out to be one of the popular good guys on the American tour.

Practice or not, he's talking as a shot is being taken, then wonders why he gets no response from sticking the mic under the nose of Kuch. I don't really no anything about Kuchar other than he appears ok normally, however that is just amateurish from Coltart and deserving of being ignored.

Agree with the posts here, he's half way through hitting a shot and the guy shoves a microphone under his nose. Deservedly blanked!

Don't agree with Kuch did at all. Playing a shot or not. He was also chipping onto the 14th green from the 15th tee box so was hardly practicing a likely shot he'll be playing this weekend.
Plain rudeness IMO to ignore that questions, it all part of the tour, especially on the bigger events.

Yes he was playing a shot (practicing chips) but the atmosphere seemed pretty relaxed and certainly Leishman was pretty approachable and easy going.

Struck me as being immensely rude - not unless as OP asks - has there been any history.

Kooch always come across as Mr Nice, has a reputation for being Mr Nice Guy, so either there is history or Kooch just didnt appreciate the timing of Coltart's intervention , which was a bit clumsy to say the least.

maybe keeping silent was better than saying what he really wanted to say.

That video is not the best actually, the first one I saw shows Kuchar appeared to have plenty of time before he took another shot to stop and make a quick comment as it was obvious Coltart was about to approach him with a question. All seemed a bit tense considering the situation.

Kuchar is peeing around playing a chip shot from a tee to a different green way below

It was absolutely rude of Kuchar and he ignored Coltart - he saw him interviewing the other guy as well as well as giving him a look when Coltart walked away

Another example of the putter being left on the green in my mind - sheer bloody petulance

looks like its on a practice round and Kurchar must have been aware there were camera around and knew he was going to be asked something. its not like Coltart rushed up and surprised him.

for me it looks just like Kuchar being a dick

Fault on both parts me thinks, Coltart should really have waited until the shot was played, practice or not and then Kucher should've had the courtesy to say something. Poor form by both parties there.

I'm sure the media demands on the players get wearisome but that's what generates the huge prize funds these guys are lucky enough to play for week in week out. Kuchar knew Coltart was about to approach them and could of quite easily waited a few seconds till Coltart was past before taking another practice pitch or gave him a quick answer after he played his shot. Seemed a blatantly deliberate attempt to ignore him on Kuchars part.

Also, when they cut back to the presenters after the insert Butch Harman was reasonably critical of Kuchar suggesting he might like to lighten up a bit and get over himself, and McGinley's demeanour indicated he thought it was all a tad prickly too.

Watched it back again and (IMO) it was either a petulant strop or history-influenced.

Take away the media and what do these golfers have, the ability to hit a little ball with metal sticks. Not gonna earn them much, certainly not the millions they get in endorsements and winnings currently.
