Hi People!

Just wondered if we have any fans of Radio 4's "Just A Minute" on the forum. As an Ex-Pat I listen to every episode. Just nothing like it at all in America and the ageless Nicholas Parsons is a brilliant host at keeping the improvisational silliness going. Definitely one of my favorite shows on any media platform.

I have been a huge fan of classic Doctor Who since I were a small child and have all the DVD's that regularly get watched. Though it has to be said it definitely was not meant to be watched on a 72 inch flat screen, lol! Favorite Doctor is Jon Pertwee, favorite companion is Jo Grant played by Katy Manning and my favorite story is a tie between The Daemons and Carnival Of Monsters.

Anyone else?

Big Dr Who fan. Jon Pertwee was my first Dr, Tom Baker my favourite. Anyone who offers a would be killer a jelly baby to buy time is a legend in my book.

Looking forward to Stephen Moffat leaving the show as writer. He has damaged it in my eyes. They need to get back to basics, good stories, aliens, saving worlds. Forget sloppy stuff, emotions etc, it's Dr Who.

I like Peter Capaldi but he has been hamstrung by the scripts. Hopefully he will be given a chance with the new people to make the role his. What do you think of him?

I love Just a minute although, I don't listen to it every week, I have listened to it since the days of Derek Nimmo, Clement Freud and Kenneth Williams. I do prefer that fact that now they have a far bigger pool of panalists to pick from than back in the 60s.

I knew Nicholas Parsons was getting on a bit but just googled him and he is 93 on Monday, didn't realise he was quite that old.

Peter Jones, Clement Freud, Derek Nimmo and Kenneth Williams. Are they not the panelists any more ?

I've listed to Just A Minute for years and still enjoy it. I've been downloading the Classic Doctor Who podcasts and just finished listening to "Protect and Survive" with Sylvester McCoy. Very dark.
If you're ex-pat, see what you can get in the BBC iPlayer site. Some great classic series on there. I use it all the time when I'm travelling.

i was a big Who fan back in the day and for a sidekick it has to be Elizabeth Sladen ,Sarah Jane ,she was just perfect.
favourite Dr was Tom Baker ,but did like bumbling buffoonery of Patrick Troughton.

as for radio shows ,you couldnt beat THE NEWS HUDD LINES

Elizabeth Sladen was one of my first crushes. It was great to see her again with my own kids in The Sarah Jayne Mysteries. She looked lovely still. Very sad when she died. Best assistant for me.
