any do's and don'ts about Virgin cable installation?

Had it installed twice over the last 10 odd years, no problems either time.
Engineers have always been friendly and tidied up their mess afterwards.
As for the service itself, never had an issue ever apart from the odd time when they've been carrying out maintenance, they're maybe a little slow giving existing customers perks/discounts etc but I guess I've never really pushed for anything.

Moved from Sky to Virgin earlier this year. Great BB, and picture quality is better. Tivo is a better box than the Sky HD box but not sure about the new Sky HD box...

My mates and a lot of my colleagues would all have Virgin if it was in their area, but sadly, for them it's not so they have to put up with rubbish BB as they are close to max distance from the exchange.

We've had virgin for a good few years now and haven't had any real issues with them. After I finished work I had it down to £47 for two TiVo boxes, bb and phone. Bargain. The broadband is great as we don't get a great service through the phone line. Means I can play games online and stream videos on lovefilm etc. always done me a deal when I've rang them. Had a few problems with catch up which didn't work for a few days so they knocked some of the next bill. Fair dues.

install went fine- they did everything I asked, took them about 4 hrs.

The EPG takes a bit of getting used to especially not being able to flick thru favourites, apart from that and a couple of channels not in HD (SKY have them in HD) I'm pretty happy with it as its cheaper than SKY:thup:

BB is quite outstanding...
Best I could d/load something would be 300kbps and u/load at 70kbps
Now I d/load at 45MBPS:eek: and u/load at 2.5MBPS:eek:
wireless range and strength is also more powerful...
