Desperation is setting in now. Nearly a month without picking up a club, frost is so thick that it looks like it has been snowing and more snow due near me. Is there anywhere that has playable courses in the country at the moment as, if things stay like this, I may have to get in the car with a few mates and travel to find somewhere for a round. The thought of a week and a half off over Xmas and no golf at all is not one I am looking forward to.

Sorry not in Wolverhampton, staffordshire and most of shropshire I would say. It was -10 here last night and my car still says -6.5.

It looks exactly the same outside now as it did at about 2.30 Saturday. The roads are slightly browner but that's it. 5 inches of snow all over the fields and Golf Course. Currently -8 so no possibility of a thaw any time soon. Even the ranges will be closed now as they can't collect balls.
It's definitely been a 10 month year golf-wise.

hmmmm...wonder if anyone is brave enough to arrange a last minute "arrange a game" for GM forumites that actually takes place abroad somewhere. (Don't ask me, I couldn't arrange a gang bang in a brothel ) :D ;)

My local, Stressholme was open yesterday but it was on winter greens but not winter tee's which was strange conisdering the whole course was frozen solid and you couldn't get a tee in the ground.

Oh and they are still charging summer rates! thats what you get when a local council run the place the thieving git's.

My place is open, but it's more because of not wanting to lose green fees than the course being playable.

Package 3: 18 holes - Chefs Hot Special - £17.50pp

As someone above said, it's golf but not as we know it.

Yellow/Orange balls recommended, plus a hammer and nail to make your hole on the tee.

But.... it does let you swing a club - if you don't mind bump and runs with wicked bounces from anything up to 200yds out
