My 5 over round received a 0.2 cut in yesterday's medal to get to 5.6....

I need one more push in the Summer League on Sunday to get there...... On the plus side I don't have to give an extra shot in my Trilby Tour knockout match tomorrow evening... Every cloud and all that......

top stuff mate, maybe a new shiny or two will give you just the push you need to get there :p

They are built and ready....picking them up at 7 tonight.......straight to the range then to give them a bash and probably put them into play in my knockout match tomorrow night.....

Well the new driver and 3 wood behaved impeccably tonight and I won my Trilby Tour Matchplay knockout 5&3 against a 6 handicap guy from Welwyn Garden City. Early days, but 3 wood is as long as the RBZ but more accurate and the driver was a revelation!! dry long and very straight.....missed one fairway and only by a foot..........might have to get the hybrid.........

Wont be long before you're a proper golfer, and if you think I'm giving you 5 shots the next time we play.........you've got more chance knitting fog :)

Nice one Bob.....hopefully next time we play, you'll only be giving me 4 shots.... :whoo:, especially as I've just ordered the 19 degree hybrid.....Alex is building it today......2 more guys from my club seeing him for a fitting after seeing my irons and results....one of them is the club champ...

Where do you fancy playing?

Took possibly another tiny step closer again tonight with a 5 over gross in the medal. Will need to see what the CSS does again....hoping it will go up 1 as I played with 2 CAT 1's who both missed buffer and a cat 2 and myself made/ beat it.

No idea what any others did today as we played quite late. It was pretty windy though so hoping for some high scores....

Irrespective of any handicap cut coming, I played tee to green as well as I ever have. Front 9 started with 5 straight pars then stupidly dropped 3 in the last 4. Back 9 started with 6 straight pars and then dropped 2 in the last 3.......just so frustrating to tail off and the end of each 9........

Have I done enough?.....Fingers crossed....

Nearly got to cat 1 today played my 1st medal for the year missed a 1.5 ft putt on the last so had a gross 75 par 71 nett69 so should be off 5.7 tomorrow. Bogeyed 2 of the last 3 holes which are the easiest on the course. Gutted I didn't get to 5 but have a knockout round tomoz against a 3 handicap guy so least I still get 3 shots

Under my handicapping system, you'd both be Cat I already :)

gets my vote Bob......unfortunately CSS didn't go up so only a 0.2 cut to 5.5, tantalisingly close...can smell it.....

you still have to give me 6 shots though.... :ears:
