Crow
Crow Person
Broke 80 today for the first time ever, playing off the yellows but still par 72 and over 6300 yards.
Scored 79, 3 birdies, 5 pars and 10 bogeys.
The last was a nervy affair, par 5 and I could take 6 for it. Good drive that faded right and close behind some young trees. I decided I needed at least a 52 wedge to get it up and over but would it be enough to get me to the only good landing area to go for the green? Hit it well and it just grazed the leaves and found the area short of the pond but it went further right than I aimed and left a tree directly in line with the flag. I had a line to the very right side of the green but needed to keep it low, opted for an 8 iron and tried to hood it for a bit of draw. Overdid the hooding and hit it too low and left, just missed the tree trunk, brushing leaves, and just carried the pond but luckily it ran on and up to the left fringe on the top tier where the flag was. So there I was, just of the green with three for a 79, chose my line but hit it woefully short,,, next was better and left me about a foot and I managed to hole it, PHEW!
