Played my third nine hole round of the year, each time my scores have come down, from 57 - 52 - 50

Playing 18 on Sunday and confident it will be sub 100 for the 1st time.

Played Cobble Hall (Leeds Golf Club) yesterday, 1st time I had been and was really happy with my play.

The lessons, better equipment and time on the range are paying off.

Good luck Spoff, try not to force it too much.

My target is to break 90 soon and i really feel its only round the corner.

Nice 1 Spoff.

Whats Cobble Hall like? I was looking at clubs in Leeds to join and they've cancelled the joining fee at the moment (credit crunch is hitting golf too!!!) so it looks like a promising place to try.

Fella I played with is a member at Cobble Hall and he loves it.

Didn't see all the holes, but it is a nice track. Not too long, but we were off the winter mats. I think it would be a lot trickier from normal tees.

The greens are being treated at the minute but were still as good as anything I am used to. I imagine once the season starts they'll be excellent.

Also a lot of tree lines holes that will be harder then the trees have leaves on them!!!

Although members only the bloke at work was allowed a couple of rounds to try the course out before he joined, might be worth a visit?

Don't put to much preasure on yourself for a sub 100 round, just enjoy your golf.
In a nutshell what I am doing this year.

Last year my scores were awful, I felt I should be better than I was because of what I had speant. The poorer I played the more frustrated I got.

I cleared my head in December when I was injured and have only played three times this year because I have been at the range instead.

I still want to improve as soon as I can, but now I just play each shot as it comes and if at the end the score is good all the better.

Take it easy though and don't try to force a score. If you go offline play within yourself and accept your penalty. Enjoy it above allelse and hopefully come back on Sunday night with a happy tale to tell

I'm a member at Cobble! Its a great course when it's dry. It gets pretty soggy (and stays that way for a while) when its wet though!

It's playing very short at the moment due to the winter tee's, but during the warmer months it plays quite long.
