Hi all!
I have been lurking around for a few months, but today's cancelled round pushed me to finally register and contribute
My golf bug bit all of a sudden: I always loved the sport, watching it on telly but I never managed to give it a go. When I moved to the UK a few years ago I was stung by its widespread popularity though, in my home country it is just classed as "a posh way of spending time", "something interesting just for OAPs", etc. Typical ignorant stereotypes all around.
Last year I had a lot of free time from September to December, so I finally started taking lessons, and from May on I finally approached the course (Oake Manor near Taunton if you are wondering where I am leaving divots).
Needless to say I do not understand how I managed to cope without it for the whole of my life
and this forum is full of interesting discussions I can't stop reading it during the day
