Another new Old Farts event!!! Oop t'north this time

Have a look at Midam.co.uk gives approx ballot level alongside proposed scheduled events for next year.
This looks interesting also ganton and woodhall in the offering.

Heard good things about Vicars Cross and its not to far for me !!! I realise that its says max handicap is 11 but at what handicap do these events normally get balloted out at ? Or , do these type of events not fill up ? ?

This is a brand newie mate so really hard to judge. As above, mid am site is pretty accurate on ballot predictions......it'd be a surprise if you didn't get in easily.

Quite a few mid ams got cancelled last year due to lack
of entries. The midland mid am for 6 counties only got 25-30. Very poor as it was £38 for 36 holes inc food at horsley lodge.

which also unfortunately could mean lesser prizes.

Overall they are great to play in, 36 holes for that price (usually a decent course) and you're not paired up with some spotty teen who thinks he's Rory McIlroy

Thanks for posting,

This was called off last year, didn't give reason - presuming lack of entries??

I did hear that was a potential reason why it was called off last year, but why would they go ahead again
This year with same set up? If it was numbers maybe just opening up h/cap limit from 6 to 9 would do the job.
£60 for 36 holes and lunch is a great deal.

Agree with that, If its not well subscribed then up the limit.

On the poster for the event it gives the name of the holder, when was it last played?
